Michelle Reisinger, LMT
Michelle graduated Valedictorian of her class and has been a licensed massage therapist since 2000. She specializes in clinical massage called corrective bodywork massage. Treatment focuses on acute injuries and chronic pain complaints.
Injuries commonly treated are from sports, work, or auto accidents, falls, muscle tears, and post surgical procedures such as knee and hip replacements or spinal surgeries, to name a few.
Corrective Bodywork Massage seeks to not only alleviate pain and dysfunction for the short term, but to help restore proper functioning of the body for longer lasting results.
This is accomplished through the use of specific manual therapy/massage techniques, muscle lengthening and strengthening, and client education and participation. Each treatment is tailored to the individual needs of the client/patient. Michelle is dedicated to providing the highest quality care to help others overcome pain and dysfunction.
In 2005, Michelle became nationally certified in medical massage through the Medical Massage National Certification Board. This certification process included 500 hours of advanced training focusing on the ability to evaluate for indications and contraindications, understanding of soft tissue pathologies, and appropriate protocols for treating those pathologies.
Michelle had a successful practice outside of Gate 6 until she relocated to Alaska several years ago. She is back and looking forward to putting down roots once again in this amazing community!
