lateness.
Please give yourself ample time to allow for delays. Try to aim for being 10 minutes early. If you are running late, please call. If you are more than 15 minutes late without a call, you are considered a no show and payment will be forfeited if prepaid, and owed if not. Missed time is not guaranteed to be made up.
True emergencies
Please do not hesitate to call if an emergency has arisen that is not mentioned here. Also, be aware there may be exceptions to the rules that are not listed here. The purpose of this section is to remind you that it is important to keep all scheduled appointments.
1. Sickness of self or family member. If you go to bed fine and wake up sick in the morning of your appointment, please call then. Do not wait until your appointment time to call. If you wait until the last minute to cancel due to a simple cold or similar less severe illness, it will not be considered a true emergency and you will be charged the full price of the missed appointment. If you are sick, please do call and reschedule. The therapist does not want to get sick or risk infecting other clients.
2. Accident involving yourself, a family member, or an accident that is blocking your way to your appointment. This pertains to an accident on the way to your appointment. An accident that happened a day or more before your appointment allows for plenty of time to cancel your appointment. Keep in mind, there are some exceptions in this case. If the accident is severe enough that you or a family member is in the hospital or there is fear of imminent death, a phone call is not expected immediately. I would not expect your massage appointment to be in the forefront of your mind.
3. Vehicle breakdown If your vehicle won't start or you have a breakdown en route to your appointment, please call as soon as possible.
Reminder calls
I do try to call, email, or text reminders, but do not always do so. Forgetting an appointment is not a true emergency, and will result in a full payment fee for the missed appointment.
Your massage therapy session will be personalized to meet your needs. Please be sure to convey to the therapist what your expectations are.
